TODAY'S WORD FOR Tuesday, November 06, 2018:
Donations or generous actions to aid the poor, ill or helpless; a benevolent feeling toward others, especially those in need.
Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
We are going to do something different today and we trust you will respond favorably. One of our partners in the Hunger Solution (a group of friends like you who pray for this ministry regularly and give generously) sent us a poem to share with others. We have decided to share a portion of one of his poems with you in today’s devotional:
SOMEONE LIKE YOU!
Charity is a treasure
That is reaped long after it is sown
I have seen it’s effects my whole life
From my youth, til I was grown
And I learned something about it that I wish to share
People who give it, folks like you, they come rare
Most people live life without a worry or a care
Pass-by outcasts and crippled beggars like they weren’t even there
But let me digress, that’s neither here nor there
Because for all of you, it’s clear
You’re here today because you care.
It’s cuz of someone like you
That so many see another day
Your charity might be the reason
That they get up and pray
Could be the only reason that
Another life’s not thrown away
Might give hope to a righteous man
To keep livin the right way
The full effects of you deciding to give today
They simply cannot be measured, no how no way.

We are sending these devotionals to you, six days a week and most of you maybe do not know that this is only one of the ministries we oversee on a daily basis. We are retired and do not need or use any of the donations for our support. We have no staff so all donations go 100% to these mission projects that you can see if you go to our web site www.thehungersolution.org
YOU CAN RESPOND!
We distribute 155,000 meals each month to poor families in America and in ten under developed countries. We sponsor and distribute between 4,000 and 5,000 Bibles monthly --- 80% to new converts in America’s inner cities and in ten under developed countries.
I ask SOMEONE LIKE YOU if you are reaching out to help the poor?
Please join us -- Your gift of $7.00 will provide a box of food that will supplement one week of food for a family of four. Your gift of $2.00 will sponsor a Bible for one person who has just accepted Jesus as their Savior. Look at our web site and respond as God leads you
Thank you and God bless you as you consider partnering with us!
Our memory verse for this week is found in Psalm 23:6.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Give me a new burden for those in need, dear Lord. Help me to understand the word charity as it relates to what You want me to do. Open my eyes to the needs around me and make me a blessing today to someone hurting both physically and spiritually.
