A CHRISTMAS CARD FOR YOU

FROM
KEN AND DOTTIE PHILLIPS

How it blesses us to come to you each day with TODAY’S WORD. Today we want to remind you that this is Christmas day and we will be celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Many will be celebrating but not all will be celebrating the real reason for Christmas. We are told about the birth of Jesus in Luke 2.

JESUS came into this world quietly and unnoticed.

JESUS was born in a lowly manger, because there was no room in the Inn.

JESUS was born in the insignificant little town called Bethlehem because He was of the house and lineage of David as prophesied in the Old Testament.

The angel spoke first to the shepherds who were tending their sheep in the fields about the birth of JESUS.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly host praising God and saying:

“GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, AND ON EARTH PEACE, GOODWILL TOWARD MEN.”

The birth of Jesus although unnoticed at the time is remembered today and celebrated around the world.

Our family, all 44 of them, want you to remember that:

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

Many will celebrate the birthday of Jesus by singing carols about Him and giving gifts in remembrance of Him, but never reflect on His life and the sacrifice He made for each one of us. We may receive many gifts but the greatest gift of all is the gift that God has given to us, the gift of His only Son who gave His life to save us from our sins. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we receive the gift of eternal life.

We will be praying for every one of you today. Please pray for us.

HAVE A CHRIST CENTERED AND BLESSED CHRISTMAS!

LEARNINGLEARNING:

Our memory verse for this week is found in Luke 2:13-14.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.”
