TODAY'S WORD FOR Tuesday, December 17, 2019:

A turning point, as in a sequence of events, for better or worse; a condition of instability; a personal tragedy; emotional upheaval.

Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous hand.
Isaiah 41:10.

How many times have you faced a trying time in your life that you felt was a crisis? We all have gone through that experience but do you know: that when we face trying times, the Bible has some strong truths and promises for us.

Most people never turn to God’s Word when they face a crisis. They automatically feel that they can and must handle it by themselves.

When you face a crisis in your life read the verse from Isaiah (above) and then remember four truths that Isaiah shared with us:
•    God is with you!

•    God will strengthen you!

•    God will help you!

•    God will uphold you!

No matter how overwhelming your situation seems or how big the problem might be, you have this un-wavering promise that God will be with you in whatever you are facing. He is the God that strengthens you. God did not make you to live your life in your own strength. No one knows your weaknesses better than God. He knows what you need and will provide what you lack. In your crisis times you need God’s help and He has promised to help you.

Isaiah says God will uphold you. Uphold means to support or defend. This is promised in Psalm 72:4; “He will defend the afflicted”. When life seems hard just remember God knew you before you were born, and He knows you now. He knows what you need. He will uphold you.

Our memory verse for this week is found in Proverbs 11:27.

He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, but trouble will come to him who seeks evil.

My prayer today to You, dear God, is for You to give me strength for the day and help me, and uphold me through any crisis I may face today. Thank You that You have promised to be with me every day and help me because I need not be dismayed if I keep focused on You.
