TODAY'S WORD FOR Thursday, September 26, 2019:

To impart knowledge or make known; to give or interchange thoughts feeling or information.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20

God never wants us to keep what He teaches us through His Word to ourselves. He wants us to share it with others. Have you ever shared your faith with someone and then led them to the Lord? If so, you will remember for a lifetime the extreme joy that you felt in your heart. If you have never had that experience you need to remember He wants you to share your faith with others.

The real truth is that Jesus commands us to “Make disciples of all the nations, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.”  Read the verse we have put above. Jesus, just before He ascended to heaven told His disciples to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the remotest part of the earth. Just as He commanded His disciples, He commanded us to do the same.

Paul admonished Timothy, his young protégé to communicate the truth he had learned to others and train them to pass it along to others.

Each one of us communicates to others daily by what we say and what we do not say. We communicate by what we do and what we fail to do. A father or mother that never reads his or her Bible is essentially telling his family he does not care enough about the Lord to study His Word. The father or mother is sending the message that he or she is smart enough to make his or her own decisions apart from God’s input. If your friends and family never see you praying you are sending the message that the trials and tribulations you face can be handled without any direction from the Lord. Remember when you remain silent you are subtly saying something. We urge you to communicate through your words and your actions your stand on your faith in Jesus to all you see and talk to daily.

Our memory verse for this week is found in Ecclesiastics 12:1.

Remember now your creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them.”

Help me to be faithful and study Your Word daily so I can communicate to others what I believe and point them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ who died to save us from our sins. May I be used by You through my words and deeds to show Your love to others.
