TODAY'S WORD FOR Friday, June 21, 2019:

Feeling fear; filled with apprehension; feeling uncertainty, reluctance or unwillingness.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; the God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.
II Samuel 22:2-4

The scripture above reminds us that the Lord is our rock, fortress and deliverer. Because of this, if we have put our trust in Him, we do not have to be afraid or live in fear. Because He is our rock, fortress and deliverer we can run to Him no matter how big or how small the situation in our life is to us.

We need to renew our mind, our thinking, day by day and realize that the Lord is our strength and in Him we can trust and be secure. When we put all of our trust in Him our mind can rest and our heart can be at peace.

Be assured that He cares for us and that is why we never have to be afraid. The one that delivered Daniel from the lion’s den and raised Jesus from the dead can surely deliver us without us experiencing any fear from any and all situations we might face in life.

There is much evil in this world. Everyday we hear of murders, shootings and other harmful and cruel acts of violence committed against innocent victims. It is easy to become afraid just from hearing about all the wickedness that prevails all around us.

I John 4:4 says: “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” So, FEAR NOT!

We have this promise from God: “Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” Isaiah 41:10.

Our memory verse this week is found in James 1:22.

But be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Help me today, dear Lord to stop focusing on my circumstances that are causing me to be afraid. Instead help me to put all of my focus in life on You no matter how difficult, dramatic, or terrifying my fears may be, Thank You that I can focus on Your truth and Your truth will set me free. Let not my heart be dismayed.
