TODAY'S WORD FOR Tuesday, June 18, 2019:

To cause to become friendly or peaceable again; to bring into agreement; to restore harmony between persons.

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your own minds because of your evil behavior. But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation.
Colossians 1:21-22.

At one time, you were alienated from God. You were separated from Him because of sin, and there was no way to be reconciled to Him. There was no deed you could do, and no price you could pay to buy your freedom or salvation from the penalty of sin. You, along with everyone else in the world, were hopeless and lost and in need of a Savior.

Let us explain clearly: All of us were born in sin and in God’s sight we are all sinners because of Adam and Eve. God sent His Son, Jesus, into this world to die on the cross to pay the penalty for all of our sins. We then have a choice: We can ignore what Jesus did and when we die, we will go to Hell. The other option is to accept Jesus as our Savior -- He saved us from paying the penalty for our sins by paying for them Himself.

May we also remind you that not making a choice is to make a choice which automatically will send you to hell.

By Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross, the penalty of our sins was paid for in full. By Christ’s blood on the cross of Calvary, the grave was defeated. Calvary’s victory has reconciled all who believe on Him back to God.

As a result, your experience at the cross and your accepting Jesus as your Savior, Jesus has presented you to God, holy and blameless. That is where you stand now if you are a believer in Jesus, no longer with blemish, stain, or spot. Now every accusation of the enemy is now covered by the blood of Jesus. Once you were alienated, now you are reconciled.

Our memory verse this week is found in James 1:22.

But be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Thank You dear Lord, for sending Your only Son to this world to cleanse us from sin and reconcile us back to a right relationship with You, our Lord and creator as a perfect solution for our sin problem. Thank You Jesus, for dying on the cross to pay for our iniquities and removing the separation that existed between God and man.
