TODAY'S WORD FOR Wednesday, June 05, 2019:

To change in form or appearance; to change in condition, nature, or character; convert.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2.

Here is some good news. You do not have to strive or struggle to become the person God created you to be. You do not have to live wondering and wandering blindly. There is a single and simple way to both change and walk in the will of God.

It is by the renewing of your mind with the Word of God.

The verse above reminds us that the world attempts to mold us into something God never intended us to be. If we allow the world to win in our lives, the lies of this world will send us down a path that God never meant for us to travel on.

This same verse above contains an amazing promise for us. Here it is and read these words very carefully:

IF WE REPLACE THE WORLD’S LIES WITH HEAVENLY, BIBLICAL TRUTHS a transformation will naturally happen.

If we do this, this scripture tells us that we will experience God’s highest and best --- His good, acceptable, perfect will. That is how powerful the Word of God is.

When we fill our minds with the Word of God, we are filling our minds with the nature of God. If our minds are filled with who God is, we cannot help but be transformed and renewed.

The key for you to consider is for you to identify the thoughts, assumptions and all the ways you think that are contrary to what the Bible tells us. That will not be easy. You will need to shut out the distractions of the world so you can begin to listen for God to speak.

By drawing near to God and spending time reading the Bible, meditating on what you read and then praying you will begin to renew your mind as the scripture above tells us.

When you renew your mind and listen for God to speak, you will be able to know the will of God and to follow Him in faithful obedience.

Our memory verse for this week is found in Acts 4:12.

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Help me, dear Lord, to identify the worldly issues that keep me from being drawn closer to You. Encourage me to spend more time reading Your Word, meditating on Your Word and in prayer.
