TODAY'S WORD FOR Tuesday, June 04, 2019:

CREATION

DefinitionDEFINITION:

The act of creating; the original bringing into existence of the universe by God.

ScriptureSCRIPTURE:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
II Corinthians 5:17-18 ESV

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

When a person accepts Jesus as their Savior, they become a new creation. As a believer in Jesus we are no longer predisposed to follow after the things of the world.

We possess a new nature on the inside and that is the nature of God. It is a Christ-centered nature that wants to please God. This is you as a new creation. This is your new life.

When you turn to God and accept Jesus into your heart you are made new. The Greek words, “new creation’ as recorded in II Corinthians 5:17 literally means, “a new being that has never before existed.” The mistakes of the past; the old, destructive patterns of defeat and failure; the wounds, hurts and scars inflicted by others, all were washed away in a transforming flood of rebirth and renewal.

Through Jesus atoning work on the cross, you are fully reconciled to God because of the blood of Jesus that washed away all of your sins.

In the past you may have been hostile and at war with God, but God loved you anyway and was not willing that you forever be separated from Him. That is the reason He sacrificed His beloved Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross to restore you to a relationship with Himself. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus.

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, a divine exchange takes place. YOU GIVE GOD YOUR SIN, AND HE GIVES YOU HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

LEARNINGLEARNING:

Our memory verse for this week is found in Acts 4:12.

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

PRAYERPRAYER:

We honor You for creating us in Your likeness. Thank You for taking my family out of the world of sin and restoring us to a relationship with You. Thank You for taking our sins in exchange for Your righteousness.
