ROCK of
Africa Mission
is a interdenominational
Christian mission bringing hope to the struggling
people of sub-Saharan Africa. A plague of disease,
fear, and death is consuming the region and hope is in
short supply. ROCK of Africa Mission provides
food, clothing, medicine, education about HIV/AIDS,
support to pastors, support to schools, care for
orphans, vocational training, and comfort to the sick
and dying.
Strategically located at
Gwayi River, Zimbabwe, the ROCK of Africa Mission
delivers hope from the geographic center of the
crisis in sub-Saharan Africa...all in the name of
Jesus. Relief agencies that bring relief without
Jesus cannot meet all the needs of the region. The
dying are resorting to desperate measures in hope of
clinging to life Jesus offers eternal life to the
dying -- and a pathway to life for individuals,
families, villages, cities, and nations.
"Jesu lidwala le Afrika"
Massive balancing rock formations are a
familiar image in Zimbabwe. These spectacular
naturally occurring rock formations are located
throughout the country, and in many ways symbolize
Zimbabwe. They are pictured on most denominations of
the Zimbabwe dollar. The rock formation pictured
above is located in Matopos National Park and forms
the letter "J." This is meaningful because the
ROCK of Africa is Jesus. Jesus is a mighty ROCK
in this weary land. In the Ndebele language we say "Jesu
lidwala le Afrika" Jesus is the ROCK of Africa.
ROCK of Africa Mission is a
ministry of the World Bible Society.
